In this thesis, anilino substituted geminal bis- (2) and tetrakis- (3) cyclophosphazene compounds were synthesized as starting materials by carrying out the reaction of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazatriene with aniline. The reactions of the obtained compounds (2 and 3) with p-aminophenol in acetone with Cs2CO3 lead to the formation of geminal bis- anilino-mono-p-aminophenoxy (4) and geminal tetrakis anilino-mono-p-aminophenoxy (5) substituted cyclophosphazene derivatives. The reactions of compounds (4) and (5) with 4-quinolinecarboxaldehyde in a 1:1 molar ratio in THF in the presence of formic acid catalyst gave the cyclophosphazene derivatives (6) and (7) which containg Schiff bases. The structures of cyclophosphazene derivatives (2-7) which were synthesized in this thesis were characterized by the data obtained from FT-IR (2, 5-7), mass and NMR (31P, 1H) spectroscopies. The photophysical properties of the solutions prepared with varying concentrations of THF of structurally charecterized compounds (2-7) were investigated by Uv-Vis. and fluorescence spectrophotometries. Cyclophosphazene compounds (4-7) which were synthesized for the first time in this thesis are original.
