Özet
Magnesium-aluminum alloys, particularly AZ31, are widely used in various industrial applications due to their lightweight and high specific strength. However, their susceptibility to corrosion limits their broader use. Traditional surface treatment methods often involve substantial acidic or alkaline waste solutions, posing environmental concerns. This research investigates a novel, eco-friendly laser surface treatment process for AZ31 magnesium alloy, aiming to enhance its corrosion resistance without generating harmful waste. The study explores the effects of laser parameters on surface properties and the subsequent formation of a manganate conversion coating. Results demonstrate significant improvements in corrosion resistance, with optimal laser parameters yielding a dense, low-porosity conversion film. This work contributes valuable insights into sustainable surface treatment technologies for magnesium alloys, highlighting the potential of laser modification in industrial applications.
