Özet

The aim of this work is to investigate the effects of refractory elements Ti, V, Zr and Nb on nitriding behaviour of CoCrFeNi alloys. XRD analysis results display that nitrided layers consist of Fe<inf>3</inf>N, CrN, VN, ZrN, Nb<inf>4</inf>N<inf>5</inf>, and Ti<inf>2</inf>N phases. Thickness of nitrided layer dramatically changes with using of different alloying elements and layers range from 8.2 to 26.4 µm. The formation and growth of white layers on nitride alloys are strongly influenced by different alloying elements with a white layer present in alloys containing Ti and Zr. Transverse cracks are observed in cross-section of nitrided layers in CoCrFeNiZr and CoCrFeNiNb alloys. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
