Özet
We study the excitation of surface waves at self-complementary metasurface obeying Babinet's principle. In this case, the polarization TE-TM degenerate spectrum allows to excite the surface modes with arbitrary preselected polarization state. However, the presence of a substrate may violate the Babinet principle playing a crucial role in the polarization-controlled excitation of surface waves at self-complementary metasurfaces. Here, we study and evaluate the impact of dielectric substrate on the degree of polarization of surface waves excited by the two sets of ports. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
