Araç içi navigasyon sistemlerinin teknoloji yatkınlığına göre kullanıcının çevre algısı üzerinde etkileri

Abstract

Her geçen gün daha çok insanın hayatına giren araç içi navigasyon sistemlerinin, araç sürücüsü için anlamının belirli olduğu düşünülebilir ve çevre algısı üzerindeki etkileri fark edilmeyebilir. Yapılan bu çalışma göstermektedir ki, araç içi navigasyon sistemi kullanımı, kullanıcıyı yol aldığı çevreden uzaklaştırmakta, dikkatini daha çok araç içine ve cihaza vermesine neden olmakta ve geçici sürüş dikkatsizliğine yol açabilmektedir. Ancak yine çalışma içinde görülmüştür ki, sunulan işlev ve ilave özellikler, kullanıcılara daha verimli ve eğlenceli bir sürüş sağlamakta, ayrıca sosyal bir boyut kazandırmaktadır.Sürekli yenileri eklenen teknolojik özelliklerin göz önüne alınmasıyla, bu sistemlerin teknoloji yatkını olan ve olmayan kullanıcılar arasında algı farklılıklarına yol açabileceği öngörülmüş ve değerlendirmeler, teknoloji yatkınlığı temelinde gruplandırılmıştır. Bu anlamda, sistem üreticilerine girdi oluşturabilecek nitelikte kullanıcı yorumları, kullanım verileri ve öneriler sunulmuştur.

It can be thought that the meaning of in-car navigation systems, which enter into more people?s lives every passing day, is definite and the effects on environmental perception may not be noticed. This study presents that usage of in-car navigation systems distracts users from the environment they drive in, causes that they focus more inside of car and device, and may lead to temporary driving carelessness. However, within this study, it?s seen that offered functions and supplementary features provide a more efficient and entertaining driving, and bring a social dimension.Taking continuously added new technological features into consideration, it was predicted that the systems could cause differences in perception between users that have technology aptitude and that don?t have, and evaluations have been grouped on technology aptitude basis. In this sense, user comments, usage data, and advises which can be qualified as inputs to system manufacturers have been presented.
