An integer programming model of recreational planning in medical tourism

Abstract

Sağlık turistlerinin farklı turistik aktivitelere erişimini planlamak, kapasite kısıtlamaları, maliyetler, talep ve sağlık kısıtlamaları gibi çeşitli faktörlerin dikkatli bir şekilde değerlendirilmesini gerektiren karmaşık ve zorlu bir problemdir. Bu faktörleri hesaba katan bir matematiksel model, sağlık turistleri için kaliteli bir turistik deneyim sunarken turizm firmaları için geliri eniyileyecektir. Sağlık turistlerinin tıbbî çizelge ve kısıtlarını, turistik aktivitelerin kişi sayısı kapasitelerini, sabit ve değişken maliyetlerini dikkate alan ve kâr eniyilemesini amaçlayan bir tamsayılı program modeli geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen model üretilen veri ile sınanmış ve planlama dâhilindeki hasta sayısına göre çözüm süreleri hesaplamalı sonuçlar bölümünde sunulmuştur.

Planning access to different tourism activities for health tourists is a complex and challenging task that requires careful consideration of various factors such as capacity constraints, costs, demand, and medical restrictions. A mathematical model that takes these factors into account will optimize revenue for tourism firms while providing a quality tourism experience for health tourists. An integer programming model has been developed to consider the medical schedules and constraints of health tourists, the capacity of tourism activities, and fixed and variable costs, aiming to optimize profit. The developed model has been tested with generated data, and the solution times are presented in the computational results section based on the number of patients in the planning horizon.
