More secure authentication using multiple servers (MSAMS)

Abstract

Using remote user authentication is an important necessity in many applications. There are many methods to provide security in these applications. Some of them use smart cards and one secret key stored server. In this work we have proposed an authentication scheme (MSAMS) using multiple servers. MSAMS is more secure than other solutions because the main goal of MSAMS is to provide its security by distributing parts of secret. MSAMS use (k,n)-threshold scheme to generate parts of the key and to recompose the secret.
