Özet
Today's high competitive conditions force organisations to build up suitable conditions for its individuals in order to achieve high productivity. This situation increases the importance of individuals work motivation. Organisations could only achieve the definite goals by its high-motivated individuals. Therefore organisations are examining the factors that have effects on individuals' motivation and also the relations between motivation and components of work life conditions. This thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, the definition of motivation, human being needs, content and process theories of motivation have been explained. İn the second chapter the relations between work motivation and work components, like productivity, work satisfaction performance etc. are explained. In the third chapter an analysis of individuals motivations have been conducted in the banking sector under the lights of theoretical discussions. In the third chapter to find out the factors that have effects on individuals' motivations, a regression model has been used and this model has been applied to individuals who have demographically difference in order to reveal the effective factors of motivations.
