In this study, machine learning techniques were used to identify possible failures of turbine engine components. In turbines some maintenance checks are performed at regular intervals using non-destructive testing methods and if no damage is found the parts are not replaced and the next inspection only expected at the next performance test or an unexpected event. This can have serious consequences when considering human error. During this period when Industry 4.0 is becoming a part of our lives, it is expected that maintenance activities will be performed using artificial intelligence. In addition, we note that predictive maintenance or prognostic care has improved thanks to the development of artificial intelligence technology and the increasing power of computer solutions. To address this situation, a machine learning algorithm, which generally achieves an accuracy of 96% in determining the deteriorated components of turbomachines, has been developed with the classification technique. Thus, it is aimed to reduce human error and maintenance costs in turbomachinery maintenance, as well as to reduce downtime. With the Support Vector Machine algorithm, an accuracy rate of at least 93% and the highest 97% has been successfully achieved in the low-pressure compressor, high-pressure compressor, combustion chamber, high-pressure turbine, low-pressure turbine, which are the components of the gas turbine in the study.
