Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı'nın Kocaeli basınına yansımaları

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, 1974 Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı'nın Kocaeli basınına yansımaları incelenmiştir. Ana kaynak olarak Kocaeli'nde basılan yerel gazeteler kullanılırken dönemin Kocaeli Milletvekili ve Dışişleri Bakanı Prof.Dr. Turan Güneş'in harekâtla ilgili TBMM konuşmalarına da yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca konuya dair yapılmış eserlerden de yararlanılmıştır. Tezin birinci bölümünde tezin amacı ve içeriği, ikinci bölümünde Kıbrıs Adası'nın konumu, jeopolitik önemi ve tarihi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Tarih kısmı anlatılırken Kıbrıs tarihi; Osmanlı fethine kadar Kıbrıs, Osmanlı yönetiminde Kıbrıs, İngiltere yönetiminde Kıbrıs, Kıbrıs sorununun gelişim süreci ve Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı'na değinilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı sürecinin Kocaeli basınına yansımasına yer verilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Kocaeli'nin o yıllardaki sosyolojik durumunu göz önünde bulundurarak Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı'nın Kocaeli kamuoyundaki yansımaları açığa çıkartılmaya çalışılmıştır. Böylelikle Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı'nın haklılığının ulusal ve uluslararası önemine vurgu yapılmıştır.In this study, the reflections of the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation on the Kocaeli press were examined. While the local newspapers published in Kocaeli were used as the main source, then Kocaeli Deputy and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof.Dr. Turan Güneş's speeches in the Parliament about the operation were also included. In addition, works on the subject were also used. In the first part of the thesis, the aim and content of the thesis, in the second part, information about the location, geopolitical importance and history of the Island of Cyprus is given. While explaining the history part, the history of Cyprus; Cyprus until the Ottoman conquest, Cyprus under the Ottoman rule, Cyprus under the British administration, the development process of the Cyprus problem and the Cyprus Peace Operation were mentioned. In the third part, the reflection of the Cyprus Peace Operation process on the Kocaeli press is given. As a result, considering the sociological situation of Kocaeli in those years, the reflections of the Cyprus Peace Operation in the Kocaeli public were tried to be revealed. Thus, the national and international importance of the justification of the Cyprus Peace Operation was emphasized.
