Özet
Cavity resonances are one of the most important sources for the high level of radiated emission in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) applications. Thus, their accurate numerical calculations are very important in modeling and simulation studies. In this sense, the effect of different-sized non-uniform FDTD meshes on the numerical calculation of the cavity resonances is investigated in this study. Three different non-uniform FDTD meshes are used for accuracy evaluations. A two-dimensional rectangular cavity problem is solved as a numerical example. The calculated resonance frequencies are compared with a uniform mesh result. The accuracy of each mesh type is analyzed in detail. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
