dc.description.abstractMetal-free phthalocyanines and nickel phthalocyanines carrying four or eight oligo(ethyleneoxy)thia groups on peripheral positions have been synthesized from new phthalonitrile derivatives. These phthalocyanine derivatives were characterized both thermotropic and lyotropic mesophases by DSC and X-ray.
