Accurate analysis of coaxial waveguide slot bridge

Abstract

Slot-type bridges in coaxial waveguides are in considerable demand in the design of antenna-feeding circuits and microwave-measuring devices. Mathematically accurate analysis of the resonant discontinuities in waveguides brings certain benefits to the designer. Herein, we present the study of a coaxial slot bridge, based on the full-wave accurate approach to solving both the modal scattering and eigenvalue problems. This approach relies heavily on the analytical regularization technique. The filtering and power-dividing properties of the slot bridge are studied. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
