Özet
In this study, the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) high-rate data of 162 stations during the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmara & scedil; earthquake sequence (Mw: 7.8 and Mw: 7.6) were evaluated with Precise Point Positioning (PPP) method. Co-seismic displacement time series of each of the GNSS stations during the earthquake sequence were generated. The results showed the amplitude of displacement decreased with increasing hypocentral distance. Both regression coefficients and the magnitudes of the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmara & scedil; earthquakes were estimated by the peak ground displacement (PGD) obtained from these time series. The final magnitude estimated from the PGD was Mw 7.8 and Mw 7.6 for both earthquakes, respectively. Our results show that using high-rate GNSS data, earthquake magnitudes can be calculated with high accuracy by using regression coefficient suggested by Ruhl et al. (Seismol Res Lett, 90: 271-279, 2019).
