Özet
The Augmented Reality Technology becomes more popular rapidly and it has been accelerated increase in the applications field of education and entertainment. In order to improve the augmented reality (AR) method, most research topics focus on object distance, image processing, space and the similiar issues. In this research, we consider on AR metaphors. From our knowledge, this is the first work to study on this issue of the students with neurodevelopmental disorders and their interaction with AR interface. In this study, the effects of metaphors which are used to define the objects in an AR game (application) and the interface metaphors such as moving, shifting, throwing on the students with neurodevelopmental disorders are analyzed. The success of correct structuring and understanding of metaphors by the students with neurodevelopmental disorders are measured, compared and the experimental results are shown in this research. We believe that this study will be beneficial for AR, human-computer interaction and researchers who create computer applications for the students with neurodevelopmental disorders. Besides, we believe that this study will provide inspiration for new studies because of its novel idea. © 2018 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
