High Level Architecture (HLA) is a general purpose architecture, developed to support reuse and interoperability across a large number of different types of distributed simulation projects. HLA-compliant simulation development is a complex and difficult engineering process. This paper presents a case tool, named BEMGA, which aims to decrease the complexity of the process. Using BEMGA, one can easily model a distributed simulation, generate the simulation software and produce the documentation files from the model. © 2007 Springer. © 2013 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
