Özet

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a low-toxicity and non-invasive tumor treatment technique. PDT has been utilized for many years to treat tumors using several photosensitizers (PSs). For this reason, novel zinc(II) phthalocyanines, both peripheral and non-peripheral, that contain 4-aminoantipyrine-derived Schiff base (ANTE-ZnPcs(p/np)) were synthesized and described using UV-Vis, FT-IR, MALDI-TOF, and NMR spectroscopic techniques within the scope of this study. Additionally, the photophysicochemical features of zinc(II) phthalocyanines (ANTE-ZnPcs(p/np)) were examined in DMSO. Following photophysical studies, the fluorescence quantum yields (Phi(F)) for ANTE-ZnPcp and ANTE-ZnPcnp were identified to be 0.17 and 0.07, respectively. Additionally, ANTE-ZnPcp and ANTE-ZnPcnp were found to have singlet oxygen quantum yields (Phi(Delta)) of 0.59 and 0.37, respectively. The studied zinc(II) phthalocyanines (peripheral and non-peripheral, ANTE-ZnPcs(p/np)), which include the 4-aminoantipyrine-derived Schiff base, demonstrated the capability of producing singlet oxygen and have been identified as potential candidates for PDT applications.
