Kocaeli turistik bilgi sisteminin tasarlanması

Abstract

İçinde bulunduğumuz bilgi çağında mevcut olan yığınlarca bilgiyi insanların ihtiyaçlarına göre eleyip sunmak zorunlu hale gelmiştir. Bu anlamda oluşturulan bilgi sistemleri gerekli olan bilginin çıkarılıp analiz edilerek sağlıklı karar almaya imkân sağlamaktadır. Coğrafi bilgi sistemleri (CBS) konumsal veri kullanılarak bilgi üreten stratejik kararlar almaya yardımcı olan bilgi sistemleridir.Küreselleşen dünyanın en hızlı gelişen endüstrilerinden biri olan turizm tüm ülkelerin büyük yatırımlar yaptığı bir alandır. Ülkelere sağladığı büyük ekonomik destek nedeniyle ülkeler pastadan pay almak için yarış içine girmişlerdir. Son yıllarda ülkemiz de bu yarışın içinde önemli yol kat etmiştir. İnternet teknolojisinin gelişmesiyle turizm faaliyetlerinin tanıtımları internet ortamına kaymış ve birçok ülke turizm web sayfalarıyla turizm değerlerini tanıtmaya başlamıştır. Turizm web sayfalarında CBS destekli dinamik haritalar hazırlanarak insanlara konuma dayalı bilgilere ulaşma imkanı sunulmaktadır.Web CBS uygulamasının ülkemizin tanıtımında da kullanılması amacıyla Kocaeli Turistik Bilgi Sistemi oluşturulmuştur. Kentte yer alan tarihi, kültürel ve turizm aktiviteleri envanteri çıkarılarak bu objelere ait grafik ve sözel bilgiler veritabanına işlenmiştir. Coğrafi bilgi sistemleri teknolojisinin yardımıyla web üzerinden tüm dünyanın kullanımına sunulmuştur. Oluşturulan haritadan kentte yer alan turizm envanteri sorgulanabilmekte ve coğrafi olarak görüntülenebilmektedir. İstenildiğinde sorgulanan obje hakkında bilgi ve resimlere ulaşılabilmektedir. Türkçe ve İngilizce seçenekleriyle sayfa internet üzerinden tüm dünyaya hitap edecek hale getirilmiştir.Sonuç olarak; CBS'nin değişik disiplinlerde olduğu gibi turizm alanında da önemli bir yere sahip olduğu açıktır. Ayrıca sanayisiyle tanınan Kocaeli ilinin mevcut birçok turizm değeri bu çalışmayla ülkemize ve tüm dünyaya tanıtılarak, yerli ve yabancı turist sayısında artışa katkı sağlanacağı düşünülmektedir.In the information society that we live in it has become an obligation to eleminate and present the amount of existing information in accordance with the requirements of humanbeings. In this respect, information systems make it possible to anaylze and the required information into a form that facilitates proper decision making. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are the information systems that helps to take strategical decisions by producing information through the use of spatial data.Tourism that is the fastest growing industry of the globalizing world has increased the investments of the countries in this sector. Due to the great economic contrubition they provide to the countries, all countries have been in the competition to receive a share from the industry. Our country has also taken some distance in this competition. With development of internet technology promotions of touristic activites have skipped into the internet and many countries started to promote their touristic interests with tourism web pages. In the tourism web sites people are provided to access many data of locational information through preparing dynamic maps with GIS support.Kocaeli Turistic Information System has been established in order to use the GIS technology in the promotion of our country. Information of the historical, cultural and touristic activities of Kocaeli have been prepared and graphical and attribute data of these objects have been processed on the database. They have been opened to use of the people all around the world with the assistance of the Geographical Information Systems. On the map created, touristic info can be searched and viewed geographically. Information and pictures of the objects requested can be accessed when desired. With English and Turkish language options the page has been prepared in a form which could reach up to the all world.Consequently, it is obvious that the GIS has an important position in tourism sector same as it has in the other disciplines. Moreover, the existing tourism values of the province of Kocaeli which is known with its industry, will be promoted to the world and it is anticipated to contribute in the increase in the domestic and abroad tourism potential.
