Özet
BIM is a crucial tool for improving safety in the construction industry, avoiding schedule and cost overruns, and improving project coordination. As a result, it is being used more frequently in the construction sector as the necessity of technology integration becomes clear. Modeling, integration, coordination, and collaboration, site safety, cost management, time management, and change management are just a few of the applications that BIM may be used for. As a result, tools are widely used in a variety of project types, including infrastructure and residential, commercial, and industrial constructions. Given this trend, it's crucial to concentrate on BIM applications in many implementations, including those related to infrastructure and geotechnics. An introduction to BIM and its application in the construction industry is given in this chapter first. Following that, the chapter gives instances of BIM applications in infrastructure and geotechnical engineering. It then explores the illustrations and offers a comparison of the application of BIM in various projects. The chapter concludes with a summary of its key findings and suggestions for further use. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
