Özet

Medical imaging is an important and vital tool in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. For this reason, the search for innovation in the need for improvement in imaging systems is increasing day by day in order to examine the internal structure of organs in detail and to provide early diagnosis and treatment of diseases. In the past century, various imaging techniques such as X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), elastography, ultrasonography (USG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) etc. have been developed by many researchers and in addition to diagnosing the internal structure of the human body, scientists have also tried to optically image cellular and molecular functions in the body using light sources. In this regard, new and cheaper techniques for basic biological research in tissue imaging are constantly being investigated. In this study, the photoacoustic effect, which is a new noninvasive technique and also the basis of photoacoustic imaging, was investigated on different materials such as brass, absorber and styrofoam with the photoacoustic effect measurement system set-up created in our laboratory. In the paper, the results of the photoacoustic effect measurements determined for materials with different densities will be presented as a photoacoustic spectroscopy study and some implications will be made for the fundamentals of photoacoustic imaging.
