An examination of the friction behaviour and wear characteristics of some sealants

Abstract

Piston rod seals are exposed to high loads, e.g. with respect to contact forces, speed, temperature, etc. This is why high demands are made to their sealing elements with regard to their strength, wear resistance, friction and the like.
