dc.description.abstractCombined field integral equation (CFIE) formulations that involve discretization using Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) and Buffa-Christiansen-Chen-Wilton (BCCW) functions to obtain conforming and well tested magnetic field integral equation (MFIE), electric field integral equation (EFIE) and/or Yukawa-Calderon multiplicative preconditioned EFIE are investigated. Due to the use of RWG and BCCW functions these schemes are called mixed discretization schemes. The resulting CFIE schemes are compared in terms of the accuracy, dependence of the solution to the combination factor of CFIE, and ability to remedy the interior resonance problem. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
