dc.description.abstractThe paper considers a problem of a 3D impulse wave beam excitation by a circular disk with transient currents, its propagation in free space and diffraction by lossy dielectric half space. The problem is solved directly in Time Domain by Mode Basis Method. The fields are expanded into integrals by transversal modes for free space (so-called Bessel modes), the amplitudes of the expansion satisfy Klein-Gordon equation. The evolution of these amplitudes with propagation and at diffraction is described with convolution type propagation and diffraction operators. © 2008 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
