This study investigates the factors influencing high school students' adoption of information technologies in education, using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) as the theoretical framework. Although information technologies are increasingly integrated into educational environments, students' actual use and adoption levels often remain low. Drawing on data from 619 high school students in Turkey, this research examines how performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, along with trust and privacy, impact students' behavioral intention and use behavior regarding educational technologies. A structured questionnaire was developed based on the UTAUT model and administered to participants. The findings reveal that all core constructs, especially performance expectancy and effort expectancy, significantly influence students' behavioral intention. Trust and privacy also emerge as key psychological factors that contribute to technology adoption. The results highlight the importance of both infrastructural and psychosocial dimensions in the successful integration of technology into education. This research offers empirical support for the extended UTAUT model and contributes to the growing body of literature on technology acceptance in education. Furthermore, the study provides practical insights for educators and policymakers aiming to develop student-centered digital learning strategies. By focusing on Generation Z students, who are considered digital natives, the study emphasizes the need for personalized, accessible, and secure technological environments in secondary education. The outcomes may guide institutions in enhancing digital transformation processes in alignment with student expectations and contemporary educational demands.
