This study aims to investigate the impact of adding LIG-derived graphene powder on the structural, morphological, and electrochemical properties of supercapacitor electrodes produced via screen printing techniques. Energy storage, one of the most important applications of supercapacitors, offers many significant advantages, such as high power density and long cycle life. However, their performance largely depends on the microstructure of the electrodes and the continuity of the conductive network. Graphene stands out among other potential electrode materials for supercapacitors due to its high surface area and excellent electrical conductivity. In this study, graphene was produced in LIG form using a CO? laser on a polyimide substrate, mechanically pulverized, and obtained as graphene powder. Conductive inks created using different ratios of graphene/ethyl cellulose were formed into electrodes using the screen printing method. The structural and chemical properties of the electrodes were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses. Their electrochemical performance was investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. It was shown in the study that the ratio of graphene to ethyl cellulose has an influence on both the microstructure of the electrode as well as the transport of ions and electrons. The use of printing techniques to produce LIG-derived graphene-based electrodes provides an affordable and scalable method for producing supercapacitors; therefore, it may be a suitable alternative.
