Pendik ilçesi evsel nitelikli katı atıklarının geri kazanılabilirliğinin araştırılması

Abstract

Dünya'da ve Türkiye' de her geçen gün hammadde kaynakları biraz daha tükenmektedir. Bunun tek sebebi üreticilerin yalnız üretimi düşünmesi ve bunun karşılığında işletmenin elde ettiği gelirlerdir. Fakat geri kazanımı planlamış olmasına rağmen gerekli yatırımı yapmamış bir ülkenin kısa zamanda bu konuda gerekli önlemleri almış ve uygulamaya geçirmiş ve halen yenilik arayışında olan ülkelere bağımlı olacağı açık bir gerçektir. Yine bununla birlikte Pendik İlçesinde toplanan evsel nitelikli katı atıkların depolama hacminin azaltılabilirliği ve ülke ekonomisine kazandırılabilir bazı katı atıkların ayrı toplanmasının faydalarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu şekilde, mevcut sistemle ilçenin yerel yönetimine ait bütçenin kayda değer bir kısmı ile toplanarak transfer istasyonuna buradan da düzenli depo alanına taşınması sağlanan ve bu sistem dâhilinde ekonomik ömrünü tamamlayan Evsel Nitelikli Katı Atıkların, Geri Kazanılabilirliğinin Ülke ve Yerel İdare bütçesine ekonomik katkılarının araştırılması amaçlanmıştır.Bu kapsamda Pendik İlçesi benzer ekonomik ve sosyokültürel özelliğe sahip mahallelerden oluşan beş bölgeye ayrılmış ve bu beş bölgeden otuz gün boyunca günlük örnekleme yöntemi ile belli hacimde evsel nitelikli katı atık alınarak içeriğindeki; Kağıt, Plastik, Metal, Cam ve Organik olmak üzere beş sınıfa ayrıştırılmıştır.Yapılan araştırma neticesinde geri dönüşüm faaliyetleri kapsamında ülke ekonomisine kazandırılmasının yanı sıra bertaraf maliyetlerinin de minimuma indirilmesi için evsel nitelikli atıkların mümkünse ekonomik değerini kaybetmemesi için kaynağında ayrı toplanmasının hedeflenmesi gerektiği tespit edilmiştir.Tam verimle yapılacak ayrıştırma ve geri dönüşüm neticesinde 2008 yılı toplam yıllık kazancının 4.594.115,40 YTL olacağı hesaplanmıştır.

The resources for raw materials in the world and Turkey have been depleted very rapidly. The only reason behind this is that producers only think about their profit and how much their company will earn. It is obvious that the countries that had made a plan for recycling but did not make enough investments will be dependent on others which did not only take the necessary precautions and put them in practice but also are still in search of innovations. In this context, the aim of this study is to investigate the possibility of reducing the amount of storage capacity of domestic solid wastes in the sub-province of Pendik. Determining the use of collecting some solid wastes separately for recycling in Pendik was another aim of the study. A big portion from the local government?s budget has been spent to collect domestic solid wastes and carry them first to a transfer station and then to their permanent storage area with the current system. This study also aims to investigate how recycling of domestic solid wastes will contribute to the budget of the country and local government.The sub-province of Pendik has been divided into five regions having neighborhoods with similar economic and socio-cultural characteristics. Some amount of domestic solid wastes have been collected from these regions everyday for a month and they were grouped in five categories as paper, plastic, metal, glass, and organic materials.The study revealed that domestic solid wastes have a potential economic value for the country. Recycling domestic solid wastes will not only reduce the amount of money which is spent for waste disposal but also will contribute to the country?s economy. However, domestic solid wastes should be collected separately from their source in order not to lose their economic values.As a result of full researching and recycling, it has been counted that the total yearly income of 2008 is 4.594.115,40 YTL.
