Mimari bir tasarım yöntemi olarak permakültür

Abstract

Permakültür, salt yenilebilir peyzaj üretimi, sürdürülebilir gıda üretimi, topluluk hareketi veya benzeri başlıklarla tanımlanan bakış açılarının kapsamı genişletilerek zaman içerisinde bir yaşam felsefesi önerisine dönüşmüştür. İnsan, doğa ve mimarlık bağlamına dahil olan permakültürün tanımı itibariyle kullanılan sürdürülebilir yaşam mekanları yaratmak ifadesi ise gün geçtikçe yerini onarıcı bir edime bırakmaktadır. Bu bağlamda onarıcı ve bütüncül bir mekanın üretilme potansiyeli açısından permakültür, tez kapsamında ön plana çıkarılmıştır. Kavram, İnsan, Doğa, Mimarlık kapsamında Toprak, Örüntü ve Tasarım ana başlıkları 9 farklı parametre üzerinden ele alınmaktadır. Parametrelerin mimari bağlamdaki karşılıkları, mimarlık yöntem ve pratiklerine olan etkisi tezin ana konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Parametreler kadar sorumluluk üstlenen bir anlayışı da mimari üretimlerinin bir parçası haline getiren mimarları, üretimleri üzerinden incelemek üzere bir örneklem kümesi oluşturulmuştur. Örneklem kümesi belirlenirken, permakültürün asıl odak noktasında olan Batılı kaynaklar ve üretimler yerine post-kolonyal bağlamlı kaynaklar üzerinden konuyu tartışmak daha anlamlı bulunmuştur. Belirlenen parametreler yoluyla mimari üretimleri incelemenin, permakültürden mimari bir üretim pratiği olarak yararlanmanın yolunu belirgin hale getirmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu noktada, mimarlardan edinilen bakış açısının doğada mekanın üretimi konusuna bir bakış sunması önemlidir. Elde edilen bulgular, mimarlık pratiği ile permakültürü bütünleştirerek düşünebilmenin, doğada mekanın üretimi konusuna bir bakış sunabilmenin, mimarlık pratiği içerisinde permakültürü de bir tasarım metodu olarak kullanabilmenin yolunu araştırmaktadır.The scope of perspectives defined by permaculture, purely edible landscape production, sustainable food production, community movement or similar titles has been expanded and turned into a philosophy of life proposal over time. The expression of creating sustainable living spaces, which is used as the definition of permaculture, which is included in the context of human, nature and architecture, leaves its place to a restorative act day by day. In this context, permaculture has been highlighted in the thesis in terms of the potential to produce a restorative and holistic space. Within the scope of Concept, Human, Nature, Architecture, the main headings of Soil/Earth, Pattern and Design are discussed over 9 different parameters. The correspondence of the parameters in the architectural context and their effect on architectural methods and practices constitute the main subject of the thesis. A sample set was created to examine the architects, who made an understanding of responsibility as well as parameters a part of their architectural production, through their productions. While determining the sample set, it was found more meaningful to discuss the subject through sources within a post-colonial context rather than Western sources and productions, which are the main focus of permaculture. It is aimed to examine the architectural productions through the determined parameters and to clarify the way to benefit from permaculture as an architectural production practice. At this point, it is important that the perspective obtained from the architects provides an overview of the production of space in nature. The findings are investigating the way to think by integrating architectural practice and permaculture, to provide an overview of the production of space in nature, and to use permaculture as a design method in architectural practice.
